Cost of the Executive Health Assessment
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic accepts most health insurance plans, including UnitedHealthcare Choice and Choice Plus plans. The medical components of the Executive Health Assessment (EHA), including the physical and diagnostic tests, will be billed directly to your insurance plan. However, there is an additional out-of-pocket cost of $495 for the in-depth, 1-hour consultation with the EHA physician. This cost is not reimbursable by your insurance plan. If you select your EHA physician as your personal physician, routine visits do not require an additional fee other than your required insurance co-pay.
For self-pay patients, the cost is approximately $1,500. Please call 713-442-EXEC for an estimate based on age and gender appropriate exams.
In addition, for ages 40-49, the following tests will be ordered:
For ages 50 and above, the following tests will be added:
-
Dexa Bone Density Scan to test for osteoporosis (men and women in a high-risk category as determined by the physician); and
-
Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) to detect the presence of prostate cancer (men only).
-
Colorectal cancer screenings are not included in the Executive Health Assessment. However, your physician will discuss screening options during your assessment. If recommended, the Executive Health Assessment team will assist you in scheduling the recommended procedure, including flexible sigmoidoscopy, barium enema, colonoscopy and "virtual colonoscopy" - a minimally invasive procedure.
